The Association of Private Bausparkassen was founded in 1948 and represents all 10 private bausparkassen in Germany.
It is the task of the Association of Private Bausparkassen to promote the common interests of its member organizations. In this regard it has an important role in representing them vis-à-vis supervisory authorities and government agencies. The Association of Private Bausparkassen also considers the interests of the 15 million bauspar customers who have contracts with the 10 private bausparkassen. The Association of Private Bausparkassen is the bauspar customers’ point of contact and “information exchange” for all questions relating to bausparen.
Bundled professional and technical competence
The Association of Private Bausparkassen contributes its expertise to the cooperation with the state executive and legislature, submits proposals and prepares expert opinions.
It sees itself as a centre in which the knowledge and experience of its member companies as well as the results of its own research and contract investigations flow together. Working committees for individual specialist areas make an important contribution to the preparation of decisions and statements.
